Raised in a forest in British Columbia, Vancouver Island, I raided streams for crayfish, climbed enormous trees and chased deer out of our garden. From the onset of school I was engaged in art or building for theatre - which grew into opera sets later on.

A former figure skater, I practiced on local ponds late at night and one evening fell into a snow drift. Peering beyond my body cut-out, I witnessed the Aurora Borealis: powerful, swirling masses of electric opals exploding and reforming moment-to-moment creaking open my subconsciousness for art and humanity.

Since then I have traveled extensively, lived around the world, frequented art museums of all kinds and made friends with people of all cultures. Currently I reside in La Jolla with my daughter who is also an artist and supervising me until I grow up.
